If you have just installed Thunderbird on your device and now you are wanting to add your first email address, follow these simple steps. If you have already installed and have an existing email already added scroll down to the section about adding an email address.
1. Open Thunderbird, on the welcome page you will be prompted to set up your existing email address.
- Enter your name. This will be shown in the from field when you send an email out. It can be your name or business name.
- Enter the email address
- And the email address password.
If you clicked Continue, Thunderbird will try to find your mail server settings and try too automatically set up the email address. But if it fails you will have to do this manually. You can also select "Configure manually" as well.
2. From the manually configure page we can now add the new settings.
