Connect Android Mobile Guide

Please note: We're currently working on a solution that will allow you to change your status.

To make a call, you can either dial the numbers via the dial pad on the screen or you can also copy and paste the numbers into the grey bar at the top and then press the call icon to start the call.

Once you have copied your number you want to call you can press the paste button here:

Once the call is initiated, this is what the call screen will look like:

  (1) Call Duration

  (2) Pause/Hold button

  (3) Hang Up button

  (4) Mute button

  (5) Speaker button

  (6) More Call Settings button

To place a call on hold, tap the Hold button in the top right.

To hang up the call tap the blue hang up icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Inbound call answering options:

If the Connect app is open or your phone screen is unlocked, an incoming call will initiate a pop up at the top of your screen	If your phone is locked and a call comes in, the incoming call will be shown in full screen mode

While you're on a current call, on your screen you will see some call options. This includes:

1 - Call duration 2 - Pause/hold button 3 - Hang up the call 4 - Mute 5 - Speakerphone 6 - More Settings

If you tap More Settings (6) you will be shown the following:

  (1) Dialpad

  (2) Call Statistics

  (3) Transfer call

  (4) Start new call

  (5) Call list

During the call, tap the three dots at the bottom of the page to access the call options.

To transfer the call, press the Transfer Call button

Type in the number you would like to transfer your call to and press the Transfer call button (2)

To return to your current call and cancel the transfer, press the Return to call button (3)

After you have initiated the second call, Tap More settings

Press the "Attended Transfer" (1) on your phone screen to transfer the call

Your call will now be transferred

Tap the 3 dots to access the Call settings

  (1) Dial pad 

  (2) Call stats 

  (3) Transfer call

  (4) Start new call

  (5) Call List

Press the voicemail button on the bottom right of your screen to access your voicemail.

Alternatively, you can also dial our feature code *97 to access your voicemail.

Tap the Contacts tab at the bottom of the app to view your contact list.

You can also use the search button at the top to find any contact in your list.

If you've marked any contacts as favourites, they'll appear on the Contacts screen as well

If you have multiple groups set up, you can click the arrow "🔽" at the top of the group and you will be given a list of the other groups available:

To mark a contact as a favourite, tap on the contact in the Contacts tab and then tap the star next to their name to mark it as a favourite

*Please note: These steps to update your permission settings may vary depending on your mobile device

To check the notification and permission settings for your app

Open the Settings app on your mobile device (this is not within the Voyager Connect App)

Then tap "Apps"

Scroll down to find the Voyager Connect App and tap to open the settings

From here you can check the Notifications and Permission settings

BACKGROUND PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

When setting up the application, ensure you have all of the permissions enabled to allow background notifications so you can receive the call even if you don't have the app open on your phone.

To do this, enable the background notification in the settings of your phone.

On the Connect app, In the settings -> Advanced -> ensure that Background Mode is enabled.

To access the settings, tap on the hamburger icon in the top left-hand corner of your phone. Then tap on Settings. 

From here you will be able to access different information settings on your Connect app including, Audio settings, Call Settings, Network Settings and Advanced Settings,

Advanced	Background Mode: Allows you to receive calls when the app is closed. When this is enabled, you will see this icon at the top of your phone
