1Password
Full-featured password manager for the whole family
Activate eero Internet Backup (from the Home tab)
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Click on Password manager
3. Tap on Manage account at 1Password.
4. You'll be redirected to the 1Password site to create an account or link your existing one.
Complete the set up by following the instructions provided by 1Password. Once done, you'll have access to a 1Password Family plan as a part of your eero subscription.
Guardian VPN
Secure browsing when away from home
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Select VPN, powered by Guardian.
3. Toggle on the VPN to enable VPN protection for the device. This requires acceptance of the Guardian terms of service and the operating system VPN permissions prompt. From this tab in the eero app, you are then able to connect and disconnect from the VPN server whenever is convenient for you. You may go through the Terms & conditions with VPN usage.
To ensure your eero + subscription applies when you use the Guardian app, eero pre-provisions a Guardian account for you, using your eero email address, when you enable the VPN for the first time in the eero app.
After you've activated Guardian VPN using the eero mobile app, you'll receive an email in your inbox titled "Information about your new VPN" which contains a link to finish setting up your Guardian account. After you've finalized setting up your Guardian account, please follow these steps to download and login to the Guardian app on your device.
iOS
Install the Guardian app on your iOS device from the App Store, if you haven't already.
Using Safari (required), login at Guardianapp.com.
From the My Account page, click the "Securely Sign In" button which will automatically log you into the Guardian app on your iOS device.
Android
Install the Guardian app on your Android device from the Google Playstore, if you haven't already.
Once downloaded, open the app with the G shield button to login with you Guardian credentials.
After successful login, tap the G shield button again to connect the VPN.
Malwarebytes
Is a service included with Eero Plus. Eero Plus members can sign up for a free Malwarebytes Premium subscription for up to 3 devices

Setting Up Malwarebytes (New Users)
If you're new to Malwarebytes, follow these simple steps:
1. Access Your eero Account
Open your web browser and go to account.eero.com
Sign in using your phone number, email address, or Amazon account credentials
2. Activate Malwarebytes
Look for the "Setup Malwarebytes" option and click it
Select "Create Account" to begin the setup process
Complete the registration by following the on-screen instructions provided by Malwarebytes
3. Install and Enjoy
Download and install Malwarebytes on up to 3 of your supported devices

If you're already a Malwarebytes user, you can link your existing account to your eero Plus membership for seamless protection across your devices.

Network Protection
Content Filtering
You can set restrictions for specific devices or users based on preset age ranges or custom content categories.
Option 1: Set up Content Filters (from Home tab)
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Tap on Network controls.
3 Select Content Filters
4. Choose/Create the profile you want to manage
5. Tap a filter template (e.g., Teen, Pre-Teen, Adult) and click Apply.
Option 2: Set Up Content Filters from a Profile
1. Go to the Home tab, choose or select Profile you want to manage.
2. Select Content Filters.
3. Choose a filter template and tap Apply.
Block Apps
Through app blocking, you can maintain control over your family's internet experience.
Set up Block app (from Home tab)
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Tap on Network controls.
3 Choose Block apps.
4. Select Profile you wish to modify.
5.Tap/search for the apps you want to block and click Done.
Set up Block app (from Profile)
1. Go to the Home tab, then tap on the Profile you want to manage/create a profile.
2. Select Block Apps.
3. Select the profile you wish to manage/create a profile.
4.Tap/search for the apps you want to block and click Done.
Block and Allow sites
Assist in blocking specific websites from appearing on designated family members' devices.
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Tap on Network controls
3. Select Block and Allow sites
4. Tap Add Blocked Site to block site/s or Tap Add Allowed Site to unblock site/s.
5. Enter the URL of the website you wish to block. Select the Profiles for which you want to block the site (or select Network to block it for all users
on the network).
Ad Blocking
Network-wide ad blocking across all connected devices
From the Home tab
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy
2. Tap on Network controls
3. Tap on Ad Blocking, toggle to enable.
Advanced Security
Real-time scanning and blocking of malicious websites, phishing attempts, and malware.
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Tap on Network controls
3. Tap on Advanced Security, toggle to enable.
Advanced Network Settings & Insights
Internet Back up
Allows you to automatically switch your Eero system to a backup internet source (like a phone hotspot) during an outage. Once your main connection is restored, Eero switches back seamlessly.
Activate eero Internet Backup (from the Home tab)
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Tap on eero internet back up. Toggle onto turn on.
3. Click on Add a network. Select your network from the list and enter your password
Activity History
Get visibility into how your network is being used. It gives a snapshot of: Bandwidth usage by device, Active/inactive device history and Daily, weekly, and monthly network trends.
1. Open the eero app and go to Activity tab
2. Tap on Activity history and select Scans, Threat blocks or Ad blocks.
3. Navigate between the Day, Week, and Month tabs. You may select a profile or device to view more details.
Wifi radio analytics
Helps advanced users understand: Channel usage (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Wi-Fi interference levels, Signal strength across the home and Mesh node performance and placement insights.
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Select Wi-Fi Radio Analytics
3. Navigate between 2.4ghz, 5ghz and 6ghz
Dynamic DNS
eero DDNS gives you the ability to remotely access your network easily regardless of if your dynamic IP changes. With the new DDNS feature in eero +, users receive a unique hostname for their network that is simple to recognize and recall.
1. Open the eero app and go to Security & Privacy.
2. Look for DDNS settings in the advanced network settings.
3. Toggle Dynamic DNS to enable.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Features Not Working
- Force close Eero app completely
- Relaunch your Eero app
- Update the Eero app to latest version
- Contact Voyager support if issues persist
App settings not saving
- Force close Eero app completely
- Relaunch your Eero app
- Log out and log back into Eero app
- Make changes one at a time and verify each save
Legitimate websites being blocked
- Open Eero app → Security & Privacy→ Network Control→ Block & Allow Sites
- Navigate through Blocked Sites list and check desired website/s
- Add specific site/s to Allowed Sites list
- Test website access
Parental controls not working
- Verify device is assigned to correct Family Profile
- Check device isn't using mobile data
- Restart both device and Eero router
- Ensure profile settings are saved properly
