Instructions for setting up an Actrix email account in Mac Mail
Actrix Email: Mac Mail Setup
Follow the steps below to configure Mac Mail for Actrix email accounts.
1. Upon opening Mac Mail you will need to enter your email account details then click Continue.
2. On the next screen enter the following:
Account Type: POP
Description: This is personal reference so you can put anything here
Incoming Mail Server: pop.actrix.co.nz
User Name: Your Actrix Email Address
Password: Your Actrix Password
Click Continue
3. On the next screen enter the following:
Description: This is personal reference so you can put anything here
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.actrix.co.nz and tick "Use only this server"
Authentication: Tick this box and enter your email address and password
Click Continue.
4. Ensure "Take account online" is ticked and press Create to setup your account.
5. Click on Mail and then Preferences in the top left corner of Mac Mail.
6. Click on the Accounts icon and look for the outgoing mail server and click the drop menu.
7. From the list, select Edit SMTP Server List.
8. Click on Advanced, then change the following:
Use Custom Port: 587
Tick use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
Change Authentication to: Password
Enter your Email Address and Password.
Click OK to save your changes.
9. Close all windows to complete the setup procedure.
