You can also upgrade or downgrade your current server to add more storage, CPU, or RAM. When upgrading, you have the option to upgrade only the CPU and RAM. This leaves the existing storage limits unchanged. This option is useful if the server is experiencing heavier-than-expected load but is not using much storage. In such cases, a simple increase in CPU and RAM may resolve the issue.

You can, of course, increase storage as well. However, if you only want to increase the CPU and RAM, ensure you select the CPU and RAM only checkbox. See the image below.

It is important to remember that the upgrade will take the server offline for a couple of minutes. So, consider when the best time is to do that upgrade or downgrade. The best times are when there is low traffic. E.g. early mornings.
To upgrade your server, follow the simple steps below.

1. Once you are logged into the VPS manager. Click on the project where your server is.

2. Once in the project, you can see the servers listed in this project. Click on the server you want to upgrade.

3. Once on the server you will be on the overview tab. This will give you current information and prices for your server. Click on “Resize” at the top menu.

4. This will now load all the resize options. You can see your current plan or size at the top.

5. Click on the plan you want to upgrade to. It will darken and then provide the option to enable backups if you haven't already selected that. It will also show you the price based on the 28 days' use. If any plans are grey out, you cannot select these.

6. Click on the “Resize and Buy now” button. You will get a pop up to confirm upgrade and the server will stop. Click on the red “Resize and Buy now” button.

You will get confirmation that the server has been resized in the bottom right hand corner, and you can see the plan has been updated. You should check the status of your server to make sure it is running.
